Did I Miss Something In Sunday School?

I know this is a tad inappropriate given the time of year and that I should be grateful that someone was thoughtful enough to give me this Christmas card. But, does anyone remember a lion in the manger? Anyone? I know the Ox and Lamb kept time “pa rum pum pum pum”, but no lion. And is it just me, or do you get the feeling that the feline in the picture is just deciding which to eat first?

You are missing the whole point. I think it is beautiful. With a lot of work, we can start to all get along .

You missed the part where the "lion lay down with the lamb". Shame on you.

The lion and the lamb didn't happen in the manger! (Did it?)
Also, I didn't say it wasn't beautiful. It is very pretty indeed ~ it just made me go "hmmmmm" is all.

I think the lion is deciding who to eat first ---perhaps he has read johnathan Swift "a Modest Proposal'

Perhaps the picture was painted in March...in like a lamb, out like a lion?

Lion and Lamb Painting
The lion and lamb painting is a biblical iconic image that is supposed to represent world peace. Since if the lion which is the ultimate predator can sleep next to a cute cuddly lamb and not eat it, then the rest of the world should also be able to get along. There have been many speculation of this lion and lamb painting and the symbolic meanings but the above meaning is the one most people agree with.
